

shac Account Director Leesa Hutt has a wealth of marketing and communications experience across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Her varied portfolio incorporates public relations, stakeholder management, crisis communications, event management and the development of effective internal and external communication programs.
Leesa manages corporate communications accounts for major infrastructure projects. She works with Leighton Contractors to prepare strategic communications and consultation plans for a variety of billion dollar projects, including the successful RiverCity Motorway bid, the Northern Motorway Group bid for the Airport Link and Northern Busway Projects, and the brislinkM5 bid.
As part of these projects, Leesa has played an instrumental role in devising and executing comprehensive project plans.
Leesa also manages community consultation projects for Gold Coast City Council, working with individual project teams and design engineers to deliver extensive community consultation programs for infrastructure projects throughout the city.
Leesa’s experience includes the development of a marketing and communications program for the Mater Medical Research Institute which delivered extensive media coverage, increased the Institute’s profile and enhanced brand recognition.
She also boasts experience in tourism marketing, writing for an award-winning travel magazine, and responsibility for the preparation of two winning entries in the 2002 Queensland Tourism Awards.
In 2000, Leesa was one of only ten Australians selected to work in the Marketing Media Office of the Main Press Centre at the Sydney Olympic Games, coordinating media stories for Games sponsors and supporters.
Her media skills were further honed in New York where she worked as a freelance editor and writer for a series of trade publications distributed across the United States.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree from Griffith University, Leesa was awarded a UMAP Scholarship to study at the State University of New York at Oswego.
